Scarce Resources Company Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates this website at scarce-resources.com. We are a bulk electronics recovery, refurbishment, ITAD, and recycling company based in Northeast Ohio.

When you fill out our contact form, we collect the information you provide — your name, email address, phone number (optional), inquiry type, and message. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not sell or share this information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not sell personal data.
Form submissions are processed by Netlify Forms, a form handling service provided by Netlify, Inc. Their privacy policy applies to data passing through their system.

This site uses PostHog for product analytics. PostHog collects anonymized usage data such as page views, click events, and session behavior to help us understand how the site is used and improve it over time.
All PostHog requests are routed through our own reverse proxy at
r.scarce-resources.com
rather than being sent directly to PostHog's servers. We do not enable full user profiling —
PostHog is configured with person_profiles: 'identified_only',
meaning individual profiles are only created when a user explicitly identifies themselves
(e.g., submits the contact form). Anonymous visitors are tracked as aggregate events only.
PostHog's privacy policy is available at posthog.com/privacy. We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics platform.
This site contains links to third-party websites (such as partner company sites and Chagrin Electronic Recycling). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before submitting any personal information.
Contact form submissions are handled by Netlify Forms and retained per Netlify's data retention policy. We may also retain email correspondence for business purposes. Local storage data exists only in your browser and is under your control — you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
You can clear all locally stored data by clearing your browser's cookies and local storage for this site. To request deletion of any contact form data we hold, email us at contact@scarce-resources.com.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
